Star Alliance: the Canadian workhorse

SkyTeam is the third global alliance, and for Canadians it is genuinely the hardest to reach with points, so it is worth being honest about that rather than inventing a path that does not exist. SkyTeam's members include Air France, KLM, Delta, and Korean Air, all excellent airlines with strong networks into Europe and Asia. The problem is not the airlines, it is the on-ramp from Canadian points.

The main SkyTeam loyalty programs are Air France-KLM Flying Blue and Delta SkyMiles.
